Lara Friedlander, Suzanne Hanlin, Mary Cullinan, Sanika Rangnekar
This study is utilising our recently developed Practice Based Research Network (PBRN), ARCH (Applied Research through Clinicians’ Hands), to investigate the outcomes of pulp capping in two general dental practices. It is also comparing the ease of data collection from electronic versus paper based records to inform future PBRN projects around ease of data extraction and study design.
PBRN02 – Direct pulp capping of permanent teeth in general practice
Lara Friedlander, Suzanne Hanlin, Kate McElvoy
This study will use an on-line survey to investigate direct pulp capping, and its application in New Zealand general dental practice with the objective of gaining information about clinicians’ opinions and understanding of this treatment. This study will inform the development of future dental PBRN projects with respect to the ease of engaging with New Zealand dentists in this way and their likely participation rates.
